Have a Sweet Holiday

Hi everyone and Happy Christmas Eve to all who celebrate :)  It's Wednesday so that means it's another Wonderful Wednesday Challenge over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog.  Because it's the holiday season, we decided to have this challenge last two weeks, so you have two whole weeks to get your "anything goes" cards up on the blog!  Some come join us! :)

For my card today, I used this adorable image from the Candy Cane Kisses Stamp Set.  How adorable is she?!?!  Love her and I had so much fun coloring her up.  I of course colored her with copics.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair: E53, E25, E29
Reds: R32, R35, R39, R59
Greens: G21, G94, G99
Shoes: E42, E43, E44, E47

I also added some stickles to the bow on the wreath.  My DP is from Michael's (Recollections paper set).  The snowflakes were cut out using a Memory Box die.  I added a bow, some pearls, and some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts to finish up the card.  The adorable sentiment comes with this awesome stamp set.  What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today.  Thanks so much as always for stopping by.  Happy Holidays! :)

Princess Sweet Treats

Hi everyone and Merry Christmas Eve to all of you who celebrate.  I'm so excited for Christmas tomorrow.  My two year old is going to be beside himself I think :)  I just can't wait, he's finally beginning to understand Christmas and I think tomorrow is going to be awesome :)  Today is an exciting day for me in the crafting world.  As you know, I mostly showcase copic markers and rubber or digi stamp projects on my blog.  However, I got my start in crafting working with my Cricut and Sihouette machines and I still pull them out from time to time (I wish I had even more time to work with them, they are so much fun).  Today, I get to be a guest designer today for Jaded Blossom Stamps.  If I had unlimited funds, I would truly purchase every stamp set and every die cut they make, that's for sure! :) Unfortunately, I don't have unlimited funds, but I have been able to take advantage of some sales and have purchased some adorable candy stamps.  Here's my project:

For my project, I made this adorable castle treat box.  I made the actual treat box myself.  I cut the castle out using the Once Upon a Pricess Cricut Cartridge.  I then stamped a mixture of Royal Candies and Villain Candies (the Villain Candies are on clearance for $6 so go scoop them up!).  These are SO fun and so easy to do.  Just stamp them onto your cardstock, punch them out with a 3/4" punch, and then adhere them to the base of your Hershey Kiss candy using either Glue Dots or Scor Tape or some other adhesive of your choice.  It's really that simple and it really spruces up a homemade treat :)  Thanks so much as always for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed my project  and make sure to check out Jaded Blossom Stamps, they are fabulous! :)  Hugs!

Live Out Loud

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday!  Are those of you who celebrate ready for Christmas?  I'm almost there :)  I'm so excited for the big day, I think my two year old is going to be so excited :)  Sorry I've been a bit MIA this week, I've been really sick with an upper respiratory cold/flu bug.  I'm still feeling pretty under the weather, today I couldn't even talk!  But I don't have time to be sick, I just have to keep moving :)

Well, it's Saturday so that means it's another Saturday Challenge over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog.  Our challenge this week is hosted by the awesome Danni and she challenged us to create a project inspired by music.  So, your main image can be a musical image, or inspired by music, or your favorite song, or anything you like really :)  Just have fun! :)  Here's my card:

For my card today, I just had to ink up this gorgeous image.  She's a new release from KKS and she's called Rock Star.  I of course colored her up with copics.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair: E53, E25, E29
Pinks: RV10, R81, R83, R85, R89

I added some Stickles to her hair bow and the stars on her dress.  My DP is from MME.  The die cuts are Spellbinders and Memory Box.  The awesome sentiment comes with the set.  I also added a bow, some bling, and some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.  What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today.  Thanks so much as always for stopping by.  Make sure to stop by the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog to join in the challenge.  Huge hugs!

You're Snow Amazing

Hi everyone and Happy Wednesday!  Oh my, what another crazy week!  For those of you who might not follow me on Facebook, my two year old and I were in a really bad car accident on November 22nd.  We were stopped at a red light and rear ended by a driver who clearly wasn't paying attention and couldn't see several cars stopped at a red light in front of him.  Anyway, I've been fighting with insurance companies ever since and it's just wearing on me a bit.  Last night I got a new car and I really do love it, but sure wish this hadn't happened.  I'm so blessed though to be able to report that my son and I are just fine health wise, which is of course the most important thing.

Anyway, on to happier news, it's Wednesday, so that means it's another Wonderful Wednesday Challenge over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog.  Remember, these are "anything goes" challenges, so, easy peasy.  Come on over and join in the fun! :)  Here's my card:

For my card today, I just had to ink up this gorgeous new fairy stamp.  She's called Snowball Fairy and I just love her!  She was so fun to color.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair: E53, E25, E29
Purple: V000, V01, V04, V06, V09
Blue: BG000, BG01, BG05, BG09

I added some frontage and some stickles for some extra glitter.  The sentiment, as well as several other sentiments, also comes with this set.  My DP is from Doodlebug.  I also added some snowflake die cuts (made from a Memory Box die), a ribbon, and some bling.  What do you think?

Well, that's it from me today.  Thanks so much as always for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day! :)

Saturday, December 6, 2014

Hi everyone and Happy Saturday! :)  I cannot even put into words how happy I am that the weekend is here!  What a crazy, long week!  Well, it's Saturday so that means it's another Saturday Challenge over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog.  Our challenge this week is hosted by the lovely Krafty Girl Jenny.  The challenge is "Tag, You're It!"  I'm so excited and honored to be guest designing for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps this month and I love this challenge.  I rarely create tags and I really should do more of them.  Here's my project:

For my tag, I used the brand new Ice Fairy Stamp Set.  Isn't this image gorgeous?!?!  I fell in love with her the moment I saw her.  She was a dream to color too.  I of course colored her with my copics.  Here are the colors I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair: E53, E25, E29
Pinks: RV10, R81, R83, R85, R89
Blues: BG01, BG05, BG09

I also added lots of glitter.  I think this picture shows the glitter a bit better:

If you've been to my blog before, you know I love embellishments - die cuts, ribbon, flowers, etc.  But for this project, I decided to keep in simple.  The tag is actually from Michael's (it's a Tim Holtz tag and came in a package of 20 for like $2.  I have a Cricut and a Silhouette and you can easily create a tag from one of those machines, but for this project, I decided to use a premade tag to save time.  I sponged around the tag with SU Chocolate Chip ink for a distressed look.  I then added Glossy Accents and glitter to the bottom for the snow.  I popped my image with dimensionals, stamped the sentiment (which comes in this stamp set, along with several other sentiments to choose from), and then added some snowflake stickers I also found at Michael's.  Last but not least, I added some twine at the top.  What do you think?  Here's a further out view:

Well, that's it from me today.  Please make sure to head over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog to check out the rests of the DT and Guest DT creations and then join in the challenge.  Have a wonderful weekend! :)

Well, that's it from me today.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I'm so excited to be back to crafting :)
